📍 Where we're headed

Guadalupe River / Gruene, TX — cypress-shaded cabins right on the river, cool and green even in September. A slow, shady basecamp for the weekend, with Gruene Hall — the oldest dance hall in Texas — ten minutes away if we want a night out.

Want more seclusion? Frio River / Concan (~2 hr) is the remote cabin option — just check the flow gauge, it runs low by late summer. Wimberley's cypress creeks (~1 hr) are another shady pick closer to town.
